Ricciocarpos natans purple fringed riccia/fringed heartwort (x 24 plants)

This is an easy to care for species, they take CO₂ from the atmosphere so don't require a high tech setup. They propagate by division and add a distinctive look to the top of any aquarium, very different to other floating plants.

They like a bit of warmth so are great in tropical aquaria or heated cold water aquaria, they're also fine in a UK pond during the summer, but they'll sink to the bottom and lay dormant in the winter. We recommend a minimum of 15°C and they thrive between 18°C to 24°C.

The plants are grown by us in our specialist aquaria, using our own sustainable methods. We don't use chemicals or chemical fertilisers on these plants so they are snail and shrimp safe too.

All of our plants are grown in real world conditions, not in stale agar in a laboratory, so they will adapt really quickly to their new home and there should be no danger of melting which happens with plants from grow cups.
