Red Root Floaters Rare XL Peach Variety Phyllanthus fluitans x 25 Plants

A super rare variation on the standard red root floaters.

The leaves remain a silvery green regardless of conditions. The roots are a beautiful peach colour. As new growth develops it has a nice peach coloured edging with bright green inner before turning silvery green. The plants themselves are approximately 40% larger than standard red root floaters.

They rarely flower, but if they do they have pretty little white flowers just above the leaves.

The plants take CO₂ from the atmosphere so don't require a high tech setup. They grow quite fast and are excellent at taking up nutrients to help keep your water clean and healthy. They are fantastic at helping to control algae.

They like a bit of warmth so are great in tropical aquaria or heated cold water aquaria, but they'll be too cold in an outdoor pond. We recommend a minimum of 18°C and they thrive above 22°C.

Their fine roots provide perfect hiding places for smaller fish and fry.

They don't like a lot of current or the tops of their leaves to be wet. If you've got a lid on your tank it's best to leave an air gap so they don't get damp with condensation.

The plants are grown by us in our specialist aquaria, using our own sustainable methods. We don't use chemicals or chemical fertilisers on these plants so they are snail and shrimp safe too.

All of our plants are grown in real world conditions, not in stale agar in a laboratory, so they will adapt really quickly to their new home and there should be no danger of melting which happens with plants from grow cups.
