Anubias 'Jade' (Anubias barteri var. nana 'jade')

Beautiful variegated and pretty hardy anubias, with leaves of the colour of jade. Very prized in the far east due to the significance of the jade gemstone in asian cultures.

It's quite difficult to capture the hue of green with a camera so second and third picture are taken outside with no filter.

Anubias grow from a central rhizome which should be attached to rocks, drift or bog wood but which must never be buried in substrate, or the plant will rot.

This rare epiphyte grows well in a range of temperatures from 22 - 28°C and will also grow very happily emersed or in a terrarium setting provided the humidity is high.
